So, you're saying that it's impossible for an area to be 55-proof?
Still, I willing to bet that there will be a solo/small group farming build for the area in 6 hours or less. 24 hours and it will be commonly known and widely used. (Remember how fast IDS solo farming caught on?)

If they add one of each proffesion at the entrance or have well balanced teams all over the place, i doubt there will be any solo build there.
Like adding degen, enchantment removal, stance removal and slow, nothing will be able to solo it
The problem with the other areas ppl did solo farm, its because a.net didnt cared too much on updating it.
Another good idea would be decreasing the drop rate when ur with 1-5 ppl at the group, or getting a higher rate with 8 ppl (about 120%, considreing 100% the normal drop rate), this would surelly nerf any solo farming, or these stupid 5-man-fow ¬¬
Another thing they have to work out its the necessity of the other classes at these places.
For an example, you can easly do fissure of woe with 2 monks, 2 warriors and 4 nukers. These areas dont explore all classes unique abilities

Well, I for one (IMHO) think that it will definitely be anti-55.
Why? Nightfall was built on Paragons, and more importantly, Dervishes.
Now, how do Dervishes deal damage? They enchant themselves and end those enchants.
We all know it, and Anet knows it too. Most of the Nightfall players are Dervishes.
My point is, DoA will most likely have mesmers that can strip enchantments, you must know it too, with all these new skills revolving around enchantments.
Hmm...how do 55s survive? THEY LIVE OFF ENCHANTMENTS!
So yea, IMHO the DoA will be anti-55.

Oh come on, anything thats 55-proof needs a select few skills.
Chilblains, Rend Enchantments, Vamp Touch, Well of Profane and the various Dervish attacks that either steal health or remove enchantments.
I'm looking forward to a way to max Sunspear. And hopefully a more enjoyable way to max Lightbringer too... this afk thing really is the only way unless you wanna spend all your life mass farming the Domain of Secrets.

Yeah I knew he meant 55, but Also I was wondering if he had Anything Else.
And if DoA is jack filled with mesmers, i for one, Will not go in. Mesmers piss me off. It makes me want to cripple the person who thought up Mesmers. Degen, Domination, Shut down.
Go Spent some times in the plains in the UW, try and finish off the mesmer hordes, come back up and see if you still like them.

You are right, well at least that's one good thing. Now to see if it's favor based or not.

So that's why I always see mesmers with Conjure Phantasm, Conjure Nightmare, and some other degen spell in PvP?

Maybe you cant get into a group to clear for other reasons?
Of course go ahead and blame it on that which you dont like, the 55.

If Razah is here then there might be an armor upgrade for him after doing a quest or something like that.
But I still think armor upgrades are for us and it has to do with inscriptions.
If thats the case then I hope all the whiners stop complaining and realize how great Anet is by listining to us.
|
I doubt this is going to be implemented, but I thought I would correct this so others don't get confused.
First, his name is Norgu, not Orgu . Also, the other Warrior hero besides Koss is Goren, and Norgu is a Mesmer.

I'm guilty of that! Conjur phantasm anyway, nightmare is too high an energy cost.. course, this is while ineptitude recharges
Generally in pvp, I'd prefer domination.. but in small teams 4 vs 4 or aspenwood, the degen/ineptutide build does soo much better because mesmers (are supposed to) play on the stupidity of other players.. in my case, ineptitude seems to own warriors...
As for the weekend.. I'm hoping to get my final hero during it.

whoooow, you don't see the e-denials? The interrupters? Migraine/Crip Ang? IW (especially in RA >.<)?
Wow, mesmers SURRRE are cookie cutter.
Or you just dont play enough PvP.
ON TOPIC: I suppose I'm fairly excited for it. Yes, bunch of new content, but if Ritualists and assassins are excluded again, it'll be such a pity.

Not saying there won't be new armor(I've mentioned a few time I think we're a set short) but just making sure the context of Gailie's answer is taken into account. The website only mentions Armor Upgrades..
2 Days till we find out. Get saving those rubies, Sapphires and Diamonds. 120/120/40 I bet

I was Speaking rehtorically About the Crippling, I received a few PMs, and its fun to know I can raise a mob... But seriously folks, I hate mesmers, a lot, Which only makes the creator even more of a genious, And a sadist.
Mesmers have a counter To every build. You can't kill a mesmer specified to kill you.
And a Mob of general Mesmer like that in the UW, is just sadistic, plain and simple.
I just hope I won't see too many fo them in the DoA.
And now for something compleatly Different:
My milk tastes funky.

This isn't the "discuss the merits of AFK Lightbringer farming" thread. Please discuss that in another Lightbringer thread or create a new one if you really feel like it.
~~~
You can see some of the alternate hero armors in the Nightfall manual; not sure if that's what they'll have available.
Yes, please do not force this thread to be close, it is my baby.
As For Razah, the "Changable Profetion" I thought you could change his Primary and Secondary one, would have made more sense.
